A Bear-y Special Day at Sequoia Grove
A Sweet Donation from Sequoia Grove
Earlier this May, Children’s Hope was honored to be invited to Sequoia Grove Gracious Retirement Living for a truly heartwarming event that brought generations together in the spirit of giving.

The event was inspired by Director Rachelle, who wanted to donate teddy bears to a local children’s organization—and we were so grateful she chose Children’s Hope. With the help of Activity Coordinator Shelbi Micken, the residents at Sequoia Grove rallied together and donated a collection of their favorite stuffed animals, with teddy bears leading the charge.
As the room filled with laughter, stories, and sweet memories, guests were treated to delicious pastries crafted by the community’s talented chef. Over coffee and treats, we had the opportunity to share about the mission of Children’s Hope and the impact these thoughtful donations will have on the children we serve.

These soft, cuddly gifts will go a long way in comforting foster youth during times of transition—and remind them that they are seen, valued, and cared for by their community. To the residents and staff at Sequoia Grove: thank you for your generosity, warmth, and the love you’ve shared with our children.
Sometimes the smallest gifts—like a teddy bear—can bring the biggest comfort.
