The Appreciation Program continues to be a success, judging by the number of Gotcha forms we have received. Foster parent Karen Curtis and her husband Russ provide above and beyond for their foster children. They regularly take their foster children to new places on day trips (out to eat, Turtle Bay, etc.), have their foster children enrolled in programs (swimming lessons) and have even taken their foster children to Disneyland. Karen is always eager to expose her children to new things and genuinely cares about them. She is an awesome parent! Social worker Adam Walton has gone the extra mile to ensure that three of his children got their physicals done. These children live with a single foster parent, and Adam was willing to assist. One chid had a TB test that need to be read, so he took them back to the doctor. The test was positive, so Adam took the child to the doctor the next day to have chest x-rays. He drove from Gridley to get the kids in south Marysville to take them to the doctor in Oroville because the biological parent requested the doctor in Oroville. Way to go Adam! WE hope that you enoy the flags. They are this month's tokens of appreciation.
The remodeling continues out at the Center. Children's Hope would like to give a very special thank you to Lowe's Store in Yuba City for donating all the building materials for the remodel.
Judy Quist is the newest member of the Children's Hope team. She is married, and just recently celebrated her 41st Anniversary. She has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She likes the pleasant atmosphere at Children's Hope and the immediate acceptance. If she could live one year, all expenses paid, she would choose to live on a cruise ship, going all over the world. She would love to have a starring role in the movie "Gone With The Wind," as that is her favorite era in time. Welcome to Children's Hope, Judy!

"Being a foster parent is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but is also the most rewarding."
