Children's Hope supports students in MSW and MFT programs by offering internships to both first and second year students. Our agency serves almost 100 children ages 0 to 18. These children have been placed into foster care by the various counties' CPS units. We currently have 36 licensed foster homes and a staff of 18 employees. We have a great team of social workers to provide support. In addition, our LCSW is licensed to supervise hours for those interested in obtaining their own license.

Successful applicants will have a caseload of children to contact weekly and monitor. Social workers have the opportunity to work with the foster families as well as the children. The agency requires weekly notes as well as the quarterly reports required by counties.

Gridley is a small agricultural community in the Sacramento Valley. We are one hour north of Sacramento on the Feather River, between Yuba City and Chico. The agency recently moved into a beautiful facility. We are able to support children's visits with their biological families when supervised visits are mandated by the county. Beyond counseling, we also have room to provide play therapy and group therapy for the children, and regular in-services and CPR/First Aid training for our foster families.
